Faculty Advisors (Responsibilities) Jana Varlejs and Claire McInerney
President - Corresponds with and reports activities to the SLA National and New Jersey Chapter offices. The President, along with the Faculty Advisor, is responsible for reimbursements and accounting for the chapter's funds.
Programming Chair - The programming chair is the main contact for correspondence pertaining to tours, events, and speakers. This person facilitates arranging tours and speakers for RUSLA functions. The programming chair also reserves rooms for meetings and speakers and coordinates car pools for tours and trips.
Secretary/Treasurer - Reports to chapter, via the discussion list, the minutes from RUSLA meetings and summaries of RUSLA events. Writes thank you letters to professionals who have made RUSLA events possible. Handles RUSLA finances.
Marketing Manager - Maintains RUSLA membership list. Updates RUSLA bulletin board and website content. Designs and posts fliers for RUSLA meetings and events.
Webmaster - Maintains RUSLA website and works with other members of the group to disseminate information to students. Maintains RUSLA bulletin board.
Faculty Advisor - Helps students coordinate events and meetings. The faculty advisor is in charge of RUSLA funds along with the chapter President. Our faculty advisor is also a wonderful source for contacts with information professionals.
